Making a portable worktop that overhangs the 2′ x 4′ Centipede™ Sawhorse by a foot on three sides is very stable when both Quick Clamps are used on the side that does not have the overhang. This allows for a 3′ x 6′ bench or table top that travels at 3′ x 3′.
What you’ll need
- Centipede Sawhorse & 2 Quick Clamps
- 4′ x 8′ Sheet of plywood (1/2″ – 3/4″ thick recommended)
- Circular Saw
- Straight Edge
- Tape Measure
- Pair of small hinges
Step 1: Cut 8′ side of plywood down to 6′
Step 2: Cut 4′ side of plywood down to 3′
Step 3: Cut the 6′ side of plywood in half to make two 3′ pieces
Step 4: Measure hinge location and install
Viola! A portable 3′ x 6′ table or bench top for your Centipede Sawhorse!
